MARGO RICE, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS

Dr. Rice is a board certified and licensed professional counselor who specializes in psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and couples. Her private practice in Atlanta, GA provides counseling and consulting services to those who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, and career concerns. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and positive psychology in treating symptoms of anxiety and depression, while tailoring therapy to each client's individual needs and goals.

Dr. Rice is an Emory University alum, and completed her graduate training at Mercer University with a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Her dissertation research evaluated family experiences with mental illness and disabilities. In addition to her counseling work, Dr. Rice is a parent, spouse, and an adjunct professor for graduate programs in clinical mental health, rehabilitation, and school counseling. She leads clinical supervision and professional consultation groups for mental health providers and is an active member of the American Counseling Association. Her research interests include the neuroscience of psychotherapy, interventions in positive psychology, and enhancing occupational health.
